Fundraising Activities

Fundraising is an integral part of our school's financial planning. Money raised from fundraising is used for enrichment activities (field trips, special visitors, etc.), scholarships, and to provide for the long-term growth and stability of our school.

Fundraising Events for 2008-2009

Our Annual Fund kicked off on October 20. Letters and pledge cards were mailed to every family. Last year's Annual Fund raised over $10,000. Our goal this year is to match or surpass that amount!

Save the Date: Saturday, March 28, 2009 is the date of our Spring Gala! The details are in the works but this event is going to be Fabulous!.

TV Raffle We will once again be raffling a TV. This year the TV is a Samsung 42" WideScreen Plasma HDTV. Tickets will be sold for $10 each and will be available before Thanksgiving. The drawing will be held in the Spring.

Easy Every Day Fundraisers

There are several on-going Fundraisers that are quick, easy and relatively painless and bring in a bit of extra money for our school (that adds up!). Here's the current list:

Box Tops for Education Box Tops can be found on General Mills products. For a complete list of products please visit: www.boxtops4education.com. Your Box Tops can be left in the designated bowl outside Kathy G's office.

Target Visa If you (and/or your friends and family) have a Target Visa or Target credit card you can designate our school to be the recipient of 1% of purchases made with your card through their Take Charge of Education program. Go to www.target.com and click on redcards at the top of the screen for more information on registering. Once you've designated us as the recipient the 1% automatically gets sent to the school.

East Side Marketplace "Friendship Fund" When you shop at East Side Marketplace save your receipts and bring them to us! Our school will receive 1% of all receipts we return to the market.

For Small Hands Catalog This catalog/website is chock-full of great "works" for small hands. Small Hands is a subsidiary of Montessori Services, a company from whom we purchase some of our Montessori materials. Our school receives a 10% credit on all orders over $25 placed before December 31, 2008. To place your order online go to: forsmallhands.com.
