Extended Day Programs At OSMS
The Ocean State Montessori School offers multiple Extended Day options for families needing childcare beyond the scheduled school day. Before and after-school care can be used on a full or part-time basis from 2 to 5 days per week. Preference is given to students who contract for full-time use. See the Tuition & Costs

Early Morning Drop Off
Early Morning Drop Off is available on a daily basis beginning at 7:30 am. Students arriving early are led to their classrooms at 8:15 am. Registration is required.
After School Programs
Children's Room
Wee Threes, Primary 1 & 2 Hours: 12:00 to 3:30 pm
or 12:00 to 5:30 pm
Primary 3 Hours:
3:30 to 5:30 pm
The Children’s Room is our extended day program for children in our Primary Program and is a nice complement to the morning Montessori program. Children enjoy eating lunch together. After lunch children rest and nap. Although not all children fall asleep, each child is required to rest. After rest time, children participate in a wide variety of activities including arts and crafts, games, toys, story-time, singing, creative movement, and cooking. A snack is served in the mid-afternoon. Special events throughout the year add additional excitement and fun. Although the materials and activities are different, the Children’s Room supports the philosophy and curriculum of the morning Montessori program.
Prime Time
Elementary Hours:
3:30 to 5:30 pm
Prime Time offers after-school care for students in our Elementary Program. Each afternoon a snack is served at the start of Prime Time. After snack, children have ample opportunity to play and socialize with their friends. Activities include games (board, card, etc.), arts and crafts, music, stories, puzzles, reading, drama, and creative movement. Children of this age are increasingly social and value their time spent in the company of friends. Although the materials and activities are different, the activities in Prime Time support the philosophy and culture of the morning Montessori program.
Student Enrichment Opportunities
OSMS offers morning and afternoon student enrichment programs throughout the school year
Past enrichment offerings have included Little Makers, Intro to STEM with LEGOs, Service Club, Chess, Improv with Trinity Repertory, American Sign Language, Basketball Skills, Singing & Acting, Eggs Four Ways: Creating Art, and many more.
