Tuition Assistance With OSMS
The Ocean State Montessori School provides a limited amount of tuition assistance each year. Tuition Assistance awards are made primarily on the basis of financial need. Tuition assistance needs of currently enrolled families are prioritized ahead of new students. Receiving tuition assistance during a prior school year does not guarantee a family will receive tuition assistance in a future year. Admissions decisions are need blind and acceptance to the Ocean State Montessori School does not guarantee tuition assistance will be awarded.
The Ocean State Montessori School uses Blackbaud Financial Aid Management (formerly called Smart Aid) to process tuition assistance applications. All applications and supporting documentation must be submitted online via Blackbaud's secure portal. Portal instructions and OSMS-specific settings and guidelines can be downloaded below. To provide the application processing and verification services, Blackbaud charges a $35 non-refundable processing fee to each family seeking tuition assistance.
Tuition assistance applications must be submitted by January 31, 2024 for the 2024-2025 school year.
Returning families who have applied for assistance are not required to return their enrollment contract until they have received their tuition assistance decision.
