Transportation and Busing

Bus transportation to and from the Ocean State Montessori School is available from the following cities and towns, according to RI General Law: Lincoln, Smithfield, Johnston, North Providence, Barrington, Warren and Bristol, Cranston, Central Falls, East Providence, Pawtucket and Providence.

Some of the above communities (Cranston, Lincoln, Smithfield) are participating in a statewide busing system. Others (Providence**) are still providing busing via their own transportation department.

Parents are responsible for contacting the appropriate transportation department to arrange busing for their children.

For busing from towns and cities not yet participating in the statewide system, contact the public school transportation department.

Providence Public Schools require each student requesting transportation to a private school to complete a Request for Transportation form. This is new for the 2010-2011 school year. The form is available in PDF below. To insure transportation please complete as soon as possible and return by fax or mail to address listed on the form.
